Oma Savings Bank Plc appointed Iikka Kuosa as chief executive on Nov. 5, giving him responsibility for integration at the Finnish lender and S-Bank during a period of change.
Board Chair Riikka Laine-Tolonen said Kuosa’s financial-sector background and experience leading integration projects informed the appointment. She said his role also includes maintaining customer service during the transition.
Kuosa joins Oma Savings Bank from S-Bank, where he has led the banking business and served as deputy CEO since April 2024. He previously held management roles at S-Bank and Citibank.
S-Bank’s final results showed that shares tendered during its offer periods, together with its separate share acquisitions, represented about 97.32% of Oma Savings Bank’s issued and outstanding shares and voting rights, excluding treasury shares. The final tally was covered in EconoTimes’ earlier report on the tender and acquisition total.
Oma Savings Bank said a report on Kuosa’s reliability and suitability for the position is underway with Finland’s Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA). Sarianna Liiri will continue as deputy CEO.
