‘Once Upon A Time’ season 6B is set to introduce Tiger Lily, a fictional character in J.M. Barrie’s ‘Peter Pan.’ Rose McIver of ‘iZombie’ fame is also expected to return as Tinker Bell.
The fairy tale television series is preparing to produce a beloved character from the Peter Pan Lore. According to TV Line, Tiger Lily is set to recur in episode 17 and is described as a “determined and resourceful” character ready to risk her life to save another. She is also set to share a backstory with Colin O’Donoghue’s Captain Killian “Hook” Jones.
Meanwhile, Rose McIver will also return to play Tinker Bell. She first appeared on the series in the Neverland storyline playing a role in Regina (Lana Parrilla) finding out that Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) was her soulmate. According to TV Guide, executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis said, “Tinker Bell was integral to Regina discovering her destiny with Robin Hood, so it only stands to reason that with Sean Maguire’s return to the show, our favorite fairy would pop back in for a visit.”
Tinker Bell debuted back in season 3’s episode 3, titled “Quite A Common Fairy,” and was last seen in season 3’s episode 19, titled “A Curious Thing.” Her return also follows Robin Hood’s shocking return in the winter finale.
Meanwhile, a potential seventh season could usher in big changes for the series. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly during the Television Critics Association’s (TCA) press tour, ABC Chief Channing Dungey revealed, “[Executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis] would be looking for the seventh season to be a springboard in a new direction from a narrative standpoint… which doesn’t necessarily mean that we’re not bringing cast back, it’s just how do you kind of hit the reset button in a way that gives you opportunity to expand the stories that we’re telling?”
‘Once Upon A Time’ season 6B is expected to return on ABC on March 5, 2017 with episode 11, titled "Tougher Than the Rest." The episode was written by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.
