“One Piece” Chapter 913 gave fans the fight that they'd been waiting for since the Straw Hat Pirates found themselves in Wano Country. But it seems that fans won't be seeing the rest of the Straw Hat Pirate anytime soon. Still, “One Piece” chapter 914 may be roping back some characters into the story that fans will enjoy seeing again but in a Wano Country setting.
Luffy and Zoro were beset by Basil Hawkins just at the end of chapter 912 and fans were anticipating the dread pirate to not give the duo of heroes a chance to escape. Fans speculated right and Basil was ruthless, even willing to use his men as human shields during the battle. While Basil's voodoo magic, which allowed him to redirect the Straw Hat Pirates' attacks against him to his underlings, was very powerful, Zoro and Luffy were able to use his confidence against him. Zoro and Luffy were able to escape, all the while protecting O-Tama from Basil Hawkins and his crew. But Hawkins did not choose to pursue the duo, mentioning the Hierophant card that he had used during the battle playing a bigger role in the future.
Fans were introduced to new characters which may be important to "One Piece" chapter 914. The cast met O-Kiku and O-Tsuru, the latter being the owner of a nearby tea house that Luffy, Zoro, and O-tama are able to take shelter in.
O-tsuru mentioned that she would be able to help O-tama, who is sick due to drinking from the river which is heavily polluted. The final parts of chapter 913 gave a sneak peak of the Heart Pirates catching a glimpse of the Straw Hat Pirate duo. How Bepo and the other two Heart Pirates will figure in Chapter 914, friend or foe, is still a mystery.
Hopefully, with O-tsuru's ministrations, O-tama will finally be rid of her sickness from the river water's pollution. Also, “One Piece” Chapter 914 can also help explain what Basil Hawkins means when he mention to his men that his Hierophant card, a part of Hawkins' paraphernalia, will eventually lead the escaped Straw Hat Pirates back to them.
With Shonen Jump releasing a double issue on Aug. 6, fans can look forward to Shonen Jump's next issue being released on Aug. 20.
