The obvious storyline for “One Piece” chapter 919 will be exploring the so-called ghosts of Wano. However, there are also other possible highlights in the next chapter such as getting an update on the whereabouts of Sanji, Nami, Chopper, and Brook, as well as seeing Jack the Drought.
Chapter 918 ended with Law and Zoro telling Luffy about the ghosts of Wano residing in Oden’s castle. The final page shows an illustration of the Kozuki clan members’ graves, including those who are still alive.
However, there is a chance that “One Piece” chapter 919 will not immediately delve into this plot. For example, there were several chapters between the time Law first appeared in the Wano arc and when he actually got reunited with Luffy. Creator Eiichiro Oda might pull the same trick for “One Piece” chapter 919 by telling other stories instead of what is highly anticipated.
It can be recalled that Luffy got separated from the other Straw Hats when entering Wano. Up until chapter 918, Zoro was the only crew member he found and that was by accident. So much has happened since the Wano arc started that an appearance of Sanji, Nami, Brook, and Chopper in “One Piece” chapter 919 would be a total surprise.
On the other hand, the last couple of chapters also confirmed that Jack the Drought is alive and well. Some of the Beasts Pirates have already mentioned his name, especially after Luffy defeated the headliner Holdem and got control of the gifter Speed. So seeing Jack in “One Piece” chapter 919 will not be shocking but will definitely hype up the arc.
Luffy has already created a lot of mess in Wano, which will only give Jack more reason to pummel him. But in case “One Piece” chapter 919 will end up being about the mystery of the Kozuki clan, it is still safe to hope for a cameo of Jack in the next chapter.
There are still no explanations as to why living characters such as Momonosuke were shown in a grave in chapter 918, but there a lot of speculations that it has something to do with a Devil Fruit. Hopefully, fans will get some answers once “One Piece” chapter 919 comes out on Oct. 1.
