It would seem that Big Mom will finally make an appearance in “One Piece” Chapter 940, if only because it’s about time that she does. The story has been dragging on for quite some time with nothing really major happening. When she arrives, the yonko will eat oshikuro and god help anyone who gets in her way. Before she does, though, Luffy might finally learn from Hyogoro the secret to taking Kaido down.
As OtakuKart reports, “One Piece” Chapter 940 is likely to see Luffy taking lessons from Hyogoro in the middle of a match on the matter of the invisible shield that he could use to coat himself with. This will then act as an armor of sorts so that he will be less prone to damage. If this sounds familiar, it is because this is exactly the trait that Kaido has.
The pirate emperor is known for being invincible simply because he has never been known to be seriously injured. This is a feat that is attributed to him alone, with all the other infamous pirates being prone to damage in some respects. In “One Piece” Chapter 940, Luffy might just acquire the same skills that gave rise to this story of invulnerability.
As for why Big Mom is almost guaranteed to make an appearance in “One Piece” Chapter 940, the answer simply has to do with the matter of her taking so long to do so. Despite everything, the chapter could come and go without even a whisper of the yonko, but this would be a huge mistake.
It has already been several chapters since she and Chopper started on their journey to reach the prison, after all. At the very least, “One Piece” Chapter 940 could show them finally arriving on the scene just as Luffy finally learns a new Haki skill. Readers will learn soon enough if this is the case when the chapter is released on April 22.
