This will then act as an armor of sorts so that he will be less prone to damage. If this sounds familiar, it is because this is exactly the trait that Kaido has.

The pirate emperor is known for being invincible simply because he has never been known to be seriously injured. This is a feat that is attributed to him alone, with all the other infamous pirates being prone to damage in some respects. In “One Piece” Chapter 940, Luffy might just acquire the same skills that gave rise to this story of invulnerability.
