Fans who are familiar with the original manga series already have an idea what to expect in “One Piece” episode 881. But to those who are not, they might still be wondering who is Sakazuki and what will happen in the anime series in its next installment.
The 30-second preview of “One Piece” episode 881 already give fans a hint that there are likely several flashback scenes to be included in it. The video teaser opens up by recalling how Luffy’s adventures in the Impel Down arc and the Paramount War have built his reputation among admirers and haters.
While these events might have happened quite a long time ago, what Luffy did those times and how it affected other characters will be likely revisited in “One Piece” episode 881. In the background, viewers can see Fleet Admiral Sakazuki having a fit and slamming a wanted poster of the Straw Hats captain.
“One Piece” episode 881 is not the first time Sakazuki will appear in the anime series. Fans may even recall that his connection with Luffy is important to the development of the protagonist’s character. It was Sakazuki who killed Portgas D. Ace. Avid followers of the franchise know well that Ace’s untimely death was devastating but was also the quintessential moment that convinced Luffy he wants to become the King of Pirates.
Meanwhile, it is also expected that a huge part of “One Piece” episode 881 will be focused on showcasing the New Marineford. It will be presented in this episode that the World Government decided to relocate the Marineford in front of the New World and it is under the leadership of Sakazuki. His top priority is to eliminate Luffy and Law.
This part of the series will also include the reintroduction of many characters. Based on the manga chapter where “One Piece” episode 881 is based, fans can expect Luffy’s grandfather Monkey D. Garp to also appear in this installment.
Garp’s interaction with the king of Goa Kingdom will most likely lead to more flashback scenes of Luffy and Ace as children. The “One Piece” episode 881 preview also suggests that fans will be reminded again of the emotional death of Ace in another flashback. Catch this episode on Sunday, April 21.
