“One Piece” chapter 964 is coming in a few days and before that, its spoilers are already here. As posted on various sites, this has been titled “Oden’s Adventures” and as it suggests, Oden will be encountering many adventures as he fulfills his wish to travel.
This chapter is set to be told in a narrative style where Oden will personally tell the story. “One Piece” chapter 964’s story is based on the journal that he wrote since he was in Wano.
Oden tried to join Whitebeard’s crew
On Reddit, fans revealed that Oden was able to leave Wano after successfully boarding Whitebeard’s ship. He was assigned as the Daimyo so it actually not “leaving” because he had to escape since he was given a responsibility that made him unable to leave as he wishes.
On the official plot summary, it was said that this happened 30 years ago when Whiteboard refused to let Oden join his crew because WB found him to be someone who doesn’t follow orders. This is to say that Whitebeard is worried about his character that if he joins them, he could create some unpleasant situations.
Oden’s escape from Wano and met Toki
Oden was able to leave through WB who tried to evade leave him behind by setting sail at night. But Oden caught on and was able to board Whitebeard’s ship. WB then challenged him to hang on the ship’s chain for three days and if he succeeds, he will be allowed to stay with them.
Ten minutes left before the three-day time is up, Oden drifted away from the chain and landed on an island. He met Amatsuki Toki whom a group of human traffickers were trying to kidnap and Oden protected her in “One Piece” chapter 964.
Whitebeard finally allowed Oden to join
The traffickers’ leader called Karma came to attack Oden but WB and his crew came back to the island and helped Oden. Whitebeard then asked him to join them after he saw how he protected Toki.
Who is Toki? It was said that she is a time-traveler from the past - from the Void Century to be exact and what brought her to the future is a mystery to solve. Finally, “One Piece” chapter 964 will be released on Dec. 2.
