“One Piece” chapter 967 is already here, but it was slightly delayed to give way for the holiday celebrations. This means that fans have to wait for one more week as the manga takes a short break.
Recap
In “One Piece,” chapter 966, Whitebeard and Gol. D Roger met, and they clashed. The battle went on for three days and three nights, but fortunately, the two camps finally decided to settle the conflict peacefully. On the fourth day, they stopped fighting and simply divided the loot equally.
Roger and Whitebeard even had their own moments when the latter revealed to the former about his wish to travel the world. As they talk, the future king pirate brought up the topi about Oden, he told WB that he wants to “borrow” Oden for just one year and so that his request will be granted, Roger even gave all his treasures to WB.
Roger won Oden over
“One Piece” chapter 967 will show Roger also won Oden over. Despite his position, he bowed down to Oden and asked him to join him in his travels. In the end, Oden and his family left WB’s ship and accompanied Roger in his adventures as a pirate.
Having Oden aboard his ship proved to be a good decision because when they reached Skypiea at one point, he deciphered the Poneglyph for Roger. Also, Oden transcribed Roger’s words on the device so that the future generations could read about him. In the absence of Oden, Teach joined Whitebeard’s crew.
What’s next?
“One Piece” chapter 967 will continue the story of Oden and Roger’s travel, and this time, they are likely to have landed in Raftel Island. The flashback stories about Oden and Roger will go on until they reach the Fishman Island and the Whole Cake Island, where Roger will steal Big Mom’s Poneglyph. Once the flashbacks are over, Luffy, Zoro, and Law will be back for the “present time stories” again.
Release date
“One Piece” chapter 967 is set to arrive on Jan. 5, 2020, as per Otakukart. As usual, the raw scans will be available earlier and will be out by Jan. 2, 2020.
