Kaido has fulfilled his dreams of going on an adventure outside Wano with Whitebeard and Roger’s help. Now, his demise appears to be happening soon as the latest manga installment confirmed Kaido and the Beasts Pirates have already gained control over Wano through Orochi. “One Piece” chapter 969 could be another major chapter showing Kaido and Oden’s encounter, likely leading to the latter’s execution.
‘One Piece’ chapter 969 predictions, spoilers: Oden and Kaido’s fight could be happening soon
Oden has just returned from the ultimate adventure as a member of the Roger Pirates – the only crew to reach the final island and discover the One Piece. After Roger disbanded his pirate group, he made sure Oden makes it back to Wano as promised.
Upon arriving in his homeland, Oden finds Wano in disarray. Worst of all, the Beasts Pirates almost killed Toki after she used herself as a shield during a dangerous encounter while Oden was still away. The story made Oden extremely upset, and he wasted no time and confronted Orochi immediately. During their meeting, Orochi mentioned Kaido would not like it if Oden hurts him.
Orochi’s words and Oden’s retainers’ stories about the group of pirates controlling the exploitative weapons factories all over Wano confirms that Kaido is already in Wano. It would not be surprising for “One Piece” chapter 969 to focus on his first meeting with Oden.
Before the series of flashbacks to Oden’s life, fans already knew that he died after being executed by Orochi and Kaido. However, the details of how Oden was neutralized by Kaido remain unknown. That might change in “One Piece” chapter 969.
‘One Piece’ chapter 969 release date: Is there another hiatus?
While sailing back to Wano during chapter 968, Oden reiterated his hopes of opening the country’s boundaries. In the same conversation, Oden interestingly said, “It’s not as though I’m dying.” It now appears to be a huge foreshadowing of what is going to happen in “One Piece” chapter 969.
The good news is there will be no hiatus before the release of “One Piece” chapter 969. Fans will soon learn if these predictions will tally with the actual events once the next installment comes out on Jan. 26.
