Fans will be delighted to know that they will continue watching the anime adaptation of Wano arc a week after the airing of “One Piece” episode 896. Meanwhile, the end of the filler arc leads to a special movie to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the anime series.
'One Piece' episode 896 spoilers: Luffy wins vs. Cidre?
“One Piece” episode 896 and the installment before it might be fillers, but they still offered exciting fight scenes. Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hats are facing a serious challenge posed by Cidre and his band of bounty hunters.
Cidre was introduced as the strongest bounty hunter, and Luffy's lucrative bounty of 1.5 billion Bellies is the perfect recipe for a two-episode arc. Episode 895 not only introduced the antagonist, but it also revealed Cidre's skilled subordinates equipped with top-notch weapons that even Luffy and Boa Hancock's partnership cannot easily topple. “One Piece” episode 896 will certainly provide the conclusion to this short-lived rivalry.
Meanwhile, it is safe to bet that Luffy and the Thousand Sunny will survive “One Piece” episode 896 because the Straw Hat crew will attend the Pirates Fest in the movie "One Piece: Stampede" to be released in Japan on Aug. 9 It can be recalled that Hancock invited Luffy to attend the said gathering where the best pirates will try to beat other crews in finding some of Gol D Roger's treasures.
Beyond ‘One Piece’ episode 896: Luffy finds Zoro in Wano
Some fans were disappointed that “One Piece” episode 896 had to be a filler not related to the Wano arc. Episode 894 featured a brief flashback when Portgas D. Ace arrived in Wano and helped the oppressed people. To fans who have seen the manga, this means that a very exciting event is coming next.
After “One Piece” episode 896, Luffy will leave with Tama to find a healer who can save her from the poison in her body. In the early part of their travel, Luffy stumbles upon Zoro who has been more familiar with Wano. Luffy sees Zoro, who is chasing away some wild animals. But their reunion will be cut short with the arrival of Basil Hawkins who is now working for Kaido and an officer of the Beasts Pirates.
“One Piece” episode 896 will be released on Aug. 4. If the anime series will not take any breaks, the Wano arc should continue the following week.
