The second installment of this popular anime concluded in July 2019, and not all of its episodes were received as well as Season 1. However, Season 2 surely did leave fans wanting more, which is why avid followers of the manga series are now thrilled for the forthcoming “One Punch Man” Season 3.
Although it wasn't immediately obvious whether viewers would see more of Saitama and the citizens of Z-City, fans can rest assured that One Punch Man Season 3 is on the way. Here is everything we know about the forthcoming third installment.
‘One Punch Man’ Season 3 Release Date
“One Punch Man” Season 3 was officially confirmed in August 2022, more than three years after Season 2 ended, per Dexerto. The official “One Punch Man” Twitter/X account announced the show's upcoming third installment. The news was accompanied by a visual created by Chikashi Kubota, the character designer for Seasons 1 and 2.
Unfortunately, no official release date for “One Punch Man” Season 3 has been set, and it is commonly assumed that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused major delays in its creation. However, it has already been more than a year since the initial announcement, and viewers would anticipate some form of production update before the end of 2023.
Speaking of production, the biggest unknown about “One Punch Man” Season 3 is who will be in charge of it. Beloved studio Madhouse produced Season 1 before JC Staff took over for Season 2, which disappointed many fans. For the time being, all we have are rumors, but fans are sure there are plenty of anime studios eager to take on Saitama's next adventure.
‘One Punch Man’ Season 3 Cast
Although there has been no confirmation of the “One Punch Man” Season 3 cast, fans may assume the core cast will remain the same. Here are the people we anticipate to see Saitama as Max Mittelman (English) or Makoto Furukawa (Japanese); Genos as Zach Aguilar (English) or Kaito Ishikawa (Japanese); Garou as Greg Chun (English) or Hikaru Midorikawa (Japanese) and Mumen Rider as Yuichi Nakamura (Japanese) or Robbie Daymond (English).
‘One Punch Man’ Season 3 Plot
Although there are no precise storyline details for One Punch Man Season 3 as of yet, it's safe to presume it will pick up immediately after the events of Season 2 and adapt the following arc from One and Yusuke Murata's novel, per The Direct.
The first two installments covered the first 85 chapters, or 16 volumes, of the original manga. That means “One Punch Man” Season 3 will likely begin with Chapter 86, delving even deeper into the Monster Association narrative.
