The flagship smartphone series was just launched earlier this year. So the company’s silence about the rumored OnePlus 7T is not surprising. However, that does not stop information leaks from surfacing online.
Just recently, a supposed render of the OnePlus 7T rear camera design spread on social media and other online platforms. But tech fans are still waiting for news on whether or not OnePlus 7T will support 5G connectivity.
OnePlus 7T features: Native 5G support likely?
Despite the lack of an official word, fans can take hints from the features already confirmed for the base OnePlus 7 series. Just this month, it was confirmed that United States telecommunications company Sprint is offering a 5G version of the OnePlus 7 Pro. This week, a photo shows that the device clocks in a download speed of more than 203 MB/s on Sprint’s 5G connection in New York.
Since the 5G connection is already launched on the OnePlus 7 Pro line, it increases the chance for the improve mobile network support to be launched in the OnePlus 7T as well. It is also not going to be surprising if the company makes 5G a native feature of the OnePlus 7T.
OnePlus 7T leaks: Device to have three cameras?
In December 2018 a photo of what appears to be a OnePlus executive meeting made rounds online. It caught more attention as a photo of an unreleased device is spotted being flashed on the screen. Given the timing of the photo’s release, many thought it was the OnePlus 7.
However, the device in the leaked image had a round space in the rear for its cameras. Though the OnePlus 7 Pro has three lenses, it was still arranged vertically in the middle. It now appears that the photo leaked in December 2018 could be meant for the design of OnePlus 7T.
OnePlus 7T release date: When to expect a new device
Tech fans were quite surprised when OnePlus released a Pro version of the OnePlus 7. It is still unclear what this means for their OnePlus 7T plans. But people are likely to expect the device’s arrival until the company says otherwise.
If OnePlus 7T is in the pipeline, fans should expect an announcement or unveil event sometime in fall. All its predecessors were launched in either October or November in previous years.
