Reuters reported that OpenAI is seeking additional business customers and promoting Codex as it competes with Anthropic, adding a sales strategy update to EconoTimes’ earlier coverage of Brockman’s revenue and IPO remarks.

Reuters also reported that enterprise customers now generate a majority of OpenAI’s revenue.

At a Wall Street Journal technology conference in Napa on Nov. 4, OpenAI President Greg Brockman said annualized revenue rose 70% in Q3 2026 and the enterprise business doubled.

Asked whether OpenAI could be ready to go public in 2027, Brockman replied, “I think so.” He gave no listing date.

On June 8, OpenAI said it had confidentially submitted a draft S-1 to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and had not chosen IPO timing.
