“Outlander” season 4 has just finished its production. The show's cast and official Twitter page have tweeted heartwarming videos of thanks and messages of excitement for season 4's production's end and its upcoming release this year.
E! News has compiled some of the cast's tweets, with a specific tweet from the official "Outlander" Twitter page of a video showing Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, who play Jamie and Claire Fraser, respectively, as they herald the announcement.
In the video, Sam Heughan wakes up his co-star to the announcement that season 4 has wrapped up and humors her for sleeping through the whole period of production. The tweet is then followed by a short video of John Bell looking forward to fan excitement for season 4, and Sam Heughan's own Twitter page posting about how it's now time to party.
The show was ordered for renewal for a fifth and sixth season just last May but won't be back on air with its fourth season until November. It has been more than half a year since “Outlander” season 3 last aired, in December 2017, but Sam Heughan may just have the thing for any "Outlander" fan feeling the drought until "Outlander" season 4 airs this fall.
Expect to see Heughan promote his new upcoming movie, “The Spy Who Dumped Me,” now that “Outlander” season 4 has wrapped up its production. The movie is due to release on Aug. 3, 2018.
Sam Heughan will be sharing the screen with Kate McKinnon and Mila Kunis in this comedy-flavored romp about two best friends, who end up getting involved with an international spy conspiracy all because of an ex-boyfriend, played by Justin Theroux. Sam Heughan will be playing the role of Sebastian Henshaw, a mysterious British secret agent that the Kate McKinnon and Mila Kunis duo will encounter and who appears prominently in the movie's official trailer.
For those who think that a month sounds like an awfully long time to get another peek at Sam Heughan, this behind-the-scenes video for “The Spy Who Dumped Me” from ET Canada can help any Sam Heughan fan who wants to keep updated on the star's projects until “Outlander” season 4 brings us back the story of the Frasers.
