“Outlander” season 5 is now officially filming and Sam Heughan who plays Jamie Fraser teases fans a bit by sharing behind-the-scenes photos and videos of their drama’s set. Prior to this, Caitriona Balfe (Claire Fraser) also posted a clip of the set that was assumed to be the new home of the Frasers but back then, the construction was still ongoing.
Sam Heughan shared the first glimpse at the “Outlander” season 5 set through social media. The snaps were taken mostly on the first day of filming the Starz’s most-anticipated period drama. In one photo that was posted on his Instagram story, the Jamie Fraser actor showed his costumes while in another image, the props like a gun were uploaded as well.
However, the BTS pictures of “Outlander” season 5 are not available now since updates on the Instagram story only last for 24 hours before they disappear. Luckily, some news outlets were able to save copies before Sam Heughan’s posts fade away.
Meanwhile, fans can’t wait for Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe to return as Jamie and Claire Fraser in “Outlander” season 5. The time-traveling drama will continue the story of the couple’s family as they try to live a new life in North Carolina, U.S.A.
Apparently, the couple’s family has grown in “Outlander” season 5 since their daughter Brianna Randall Fraser (Sophie Skelton), who traveled through the stone to meet her parents in the past, is likely to stay in that American Revolutionary era as she already gave birth to her first child with Roger Mackenzie Wakefield (Richard Rankin).
In any case, Sam Heughan previously said that the Fraser family will be peaceful for a while but this may not last as Jamie had to fight with the rebellious regulators which will complicate things because it involves his godfather, Murtagh Fraser.
Finally, Chris Albrecht, CEO of Starz, also disclosed some “Outlander” season 5 spoilers when he said via Town and Country magazine, "Fans can rest assured their beloved Claire and Jamie will be back facing new challenges, adversaries and adventures in seasons five and six as we delve into American history and continue the story of the Frasers as they settle in the New World.”
