The latest installment of the “Overlord” anime series boiled down to the establishment of Ainz Ooal Gown’s own nation he decided to call the Sorcerer Kingdom. Just like any new nation, nothing goes smoothly at first. It will test Ainz’s capacities in ways that would even make him question his abilities as a leader.

‘Overlord’ season 4 spoilers: What’s next for Ainz and the Sorcerer Kingdom

Once “Overlord” season 4 premieres, the series will likely pick up on the events that take place shortly after Ainz’s victory of establishing the Sorcerer Kingdom. In the light novel, Ainz started with not much confidence in his abilities to lead, especially when it comes to lawmaking and governance.

Ainz’s insecurities will affect the birth of his new kingdom. But he will soon gain more control, especially once he reflects on what purpose his kingdom should serve. The main protagonist will decide that he wants to make the Sorcerer Kingdom a place where all races can live in harmony. Also, one of Ainz’s main projects in “Overlord” season 4 will be allowing adventurers to live up to their occupation titles and explore more tasks beyond just hunting down monsters for money.

Ainz is so focused on having more adventurers follow him to the point of gaining their trust by entering a battle by himself. To further his reputation, he deliberately reduces his power while fighting the Baharuth Empire’s Martial Lord. His endeavors will solicit disapproval from noblemen who disagree with the purposes of the Sorcerer Kingdom. But his power wins the confidence of the Baharuth Kingdom emperor, Jircniv, who decides to have his nation be an ally of the Sorcerer Kingdom in “Overlord” season 4.

‘Overlord' season 4 release date: When to expect new episodes

It can be said that the “Overlord” anime series is one of the most popular isekai titles over the recent years. There is clearly a demand for “Overlord” season 4 to be made. However, these factors alone are still not enough to warrant the announcement of a new installment after more than one year since season 3 ended.

A report spread earlier this year claiming that “Overlord” season 4 has been confirmed at an anime conference in Germany. But fans who attended the event were quick to clarify that no announcement was made.
