NEWPORT NEWS, Va., March 11, 2016 -- Kellye Walker, corporate vice president and general counsel at Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE:HII), was selected for membership on the Executive Leadership Council (ELC), a membership organization for the development of global black leaders.
The ELC comprises more than 600 current and former black CEOs, board members and senior executives of Fortune 1,000 and Global 500 companies and entrepreneurs at top-tier firms. Its members work to build an inclusive business leadership pipeline that empowers global black leaders to make impactful contributions to the marketplace and the global communities they serve.

Walker joined HII as corporate vice president and general counsel in January 2015. Prior to this role, Walker held the roles of chief administrative officer, senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at American Water Works Co., the country’s largest investor-owned water and wastewater facility. She previously served as senior vice president and general counsel at Diageo North America and as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for BJ’s Wholesale Club.
