Pacific Meta, Inc. said its agreement with Chainlink Labs will support institutional tokenized finance in Japan, combining a marketplace compliance product with a protocol for linking blockchain networks.
In a statement dated Friday, Oct. 16, Pacific Meta said its Partner Solutions marketplace now offers Chainlink’s Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) for tokenized-asset deployments. It also selected Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as its preferred solution for blockchain interoperability.
CCIP supports data exchange and token transfers between networks. Its programmable transfers can carry instructions alongside a token movement. ACE is intended to support automated compliance for tokenized-asset deployments.
The companies said their cooperation will include market and business development, as well as work on onchain identity and trust infrastructure. Pacific Meta listed tokenized assets, digital identity and automated compliance among the areas it aims to support for Japanese financial institutions and enterprises.
Pacific Meta said it considered decentralization, safeguards, resilience and issuer control when assessing the infrastructure. The release cited more than $3 billion in losses from cross-chain exploits. Andy Hung, Pacific Meta’s head of alliance, said Japanese institutions are “moving quickly toward tokenized finance” and need reliable systems and compliance processes suited to local requirements.
The release names Chainlink Labs as the strategic partner and refers to Japanese enterprises without identifying them. It names no participating financial institution and gives no deployment date.
