It was reported that Park Shin Hye is set to star in a new drama and it will pair her with Cho Seung Woo. This news came more than a year after she starred in tvN’s “Memories of the Alhambra” with Hyun Bin.

This will be Shin Hye’s comeback in the drama scene and fans will see a different side of her acting ability because it is a science fiction project. This is the first time that she is doing a drama with this genre so she felt challenged and excited at the same time. Moreover, it is the actress’ wish to try different roles so this can be considered as a “wish granted” situation.

Facts about the sci-fi drama

Korea’s OSEN reported that Park Shin Hye had been chosen as the lead actress for the upcoming JTBC series titled "Sisyphus: The Myth." It will be directed by popular director Jin Hyuk who is known for his splendid works such as “City Hunter,” “Doctor Stranger” and “Legends of the Blue Sea.”

Based on the information posted on My Drama List, aside from Park Shin Hye and Cho Seung Woo, Chae Jong Hyeop, Sung Dong Il and Kim Jong Moon are also starring in the drama. It was added in another report that the script is already complete and it has been described as “very high quality.”

Filming schedule - When will it begin?

Filming for "Sisyphus: The Myth" has yet to commence and it seems it will not happen any time soon. As everyone already knows, most of the filming schedules have been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Last year, they could not start the production yet since Park Shin Hye and Cho Seung Woo are still busy with their projects at that time. The actor was shooting “Secret Forest” season 2 with Bae Doo Na while the actress has been fulfilling her schedules for movie and TV filming.

Park Shin Hye was working with Yoo Ah In for their #ALONE movie and she was also traveling for the TV documentary “Humanimals.” She has completed most of her works already but apparently filming for “Sisyphus: The Myth” still can’t proceed because of the COVID-19 crisis.
