Johnstown, PA, April 24, 2018 -- Edward J. Sheehan, Jr., Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) President and Chief Executive Officer, is the most recent person from CTC to receive the Patriot Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).
CTC employee Kevin Hillegas nominated Sheehan for the award, which reflects the support provided by a supervisor to employees serving in the National Guard or Reserve. Hillegas is an electrical engineer at CTC and serves several roles in the Army National Guard.

“We owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to our men and women in uniform,” said Sheehan. “Supporting our employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve is an honor; we are humbled by this recognition.”
Besides the Patriot Awards mentioned above, the company has received many ESGR awards through the years, including the Soaring Eagle, Extraordinary Employer Support, Above and Beyond, Liberty Bell, Pro-Patria, and the Seven Seals awards.
The ESGR is a Department of Defense program that promotes cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers and assists in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee’s military commitment.
