LIVERMORE, Calif., July 21, 2017 -- Performant Financial Corporation (Nasdaq:PFMT), a leading provider of technology-enabled recovery and related analytics services in the United States, today announced that its Chief Financial Officer, Hakan Orvell, passed away on July 20, 2017. Lisa Im, Chief Executive Officer and Ian Johnston, Chief Accounting Officer, have been handling Mr. Orvell's duties while he was on a medical leave of absence.

His positive disposition, consummate professionalism, and commitment to his work were exemplary. His unwavering dedication to Performant is a testament to the individual that we will always remember. Hakan was more than just a talented work colleague, he was a dedicated father to his two children, husband to his wife of 35 years, and friend to those who had the opportunity to know him. We will miss him.”
