Apple committed up to $100 million over three years to Pennsylvania-based Perryman Company, which will provide the iPhone Duo’s enclosure titanium with a recycled share of at least 80%.

Apple describes the Duo as its first foldable iPhone and its enclosure as grade 5 titanium. The recycled-content minimum applies to Perryman’s titanium for that component; it is not a stated percentage for the whole phone.

Perryman’s Houston, Pennsylvania, plant melts, forges and rolls titanium. Apple has not disclosed how much material the supplier is expected to provide or when deliveries will begin. EconoTimes previously reported on Apple’s titanium supply deal with Perryman.
