Senator Blumenthal worked tirelessly to champion the reinstatement of the Investment Tax Credit for the fuel cell industry, to provide parity to foreign manufactured technologies, and to demonstrate support for home-grown American innovation and manufacturing. The reinstatement of the Investment Tax Credit, beyond its expiration date of December 31, 2016, not only fosters domestic job creation but also aids in improving the environment and enhancing the resiliency of the energy supply. American fuel cell manufacturing provides efficient, affordable and clean solutions for the supply, recovery and storage of energy.
“The extension of the Investment Tax Credit for fuel cells is a major victory for Connecticut jobs and clean energy,” said Senator Richard Blumenthal. “These incentives will allow companies such as FuelCell Energy to continue innovating and developing clean and efficient energy technology that will have a longstanding impact on both our economy and our environment.”
“We thank Senator Blumenthal for visiting our facility today where we produce clean, efficient, reliable fuel cells that are deployed globally,” said Tony Rauseo, Chief Operating Officer, FuelCell Energy, Inc. “This legislation is a smart investment for America’s economy, environment and energy reliability, which will drive innovation and increase manufacturing.”
