‘Pitch Perfect 3’ Cast, Updates: Co-Stars Anna Camp, Skylar Astin Celebrate Married Life, Recent Wedding Speculated as Reason for Film’s Delay

‘Pitch Perfect 3’ co-stars Anna Camp and Skylar Astin recently got married in California in a private ceremony with fellow cast mates Elizabeth Banks, Brittany Snow, and Rebel Wilson in attendance. It was speculated that the wedding was one of the reasons for the third film’s delay.

According to Hollywood Life, Camp and Austin recently wed in a private ceremony on September 10 in Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez, just outside of central California. Co-stars Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, and Ben Platt were reportedly present in the wedding while Elizabeth Banks shared a photograph of herself on Instagram while on her way to the ceremony.

According to US Weekly, a source revealed, “It was a very emotional ceremony with a lot of tears… Anna was especially overcome with emotion as Skylar read personal vows, and when she looked over at her family.” Camp donned a princess-style Reem Acra gown and Imagine Vince Camuto shoes while Astin wore a black Ermenegildo Zegna tuxedo and Aldo shoes.

Another source said, “After the ceremony everyone had cocktails in the vineyards followed by a reception… There was a dance floor on the edge of the vineyards and a live band performed.”

The newlyweds worked together on the 2012 comedy musical film ‘Pitch Perfect’ directed by Jason Moore. Camp was divorced from actor Michael Mosley while Astin was reportedly dating someone else at that time, according to FX News Call. They made their first public appearance as a couple on 2013 and announced their engagement on Instagram early on January 2016.

Camp played Aubrey Posen, an uptight and traditional co-leader of the acapella group the Barden Bellas. Astin portrayed Jesse Swanson, a member of the Barden Treblemakers and Kendrick’s on-screen love interest.

It was speculated that the recent wedding was one of the reasons for the third installment’s delay in addition to Banks’ departure from the directorial chair. Trish Sie was recently confirmed to replace Banks as director. Although plot details for the follow-up remain scarce, returning cast members include Anna Kendrick as Beca, Alexis Knapp as Stacie, Hailee Steinfeld as Emily, Rebel Wilson as Fat Amy, and Brittany Snow as Chloe.

‘Pitch Perfect 3’ is an upcoming musical comedy film intended as the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Pitch Perfect 2’. It is directed by Trish Sie and written by Kay Cannon. It is produced by Gold Circle Films and Universal Pictures.

The film is scheduled to be released on December 22, 2017 in the United States.
