LOWELL, Mass., Jan. 11, 2017 -- Podium Data, provider of the first enterprise data lake management platform, today announced two new members of its executive leadership team. Chris Mueller joins as Podium Data’s Vice President of Sales, after leading high-performance sales teams at Netezza and MicroStrategy. John Felahi joins Podium Data as Vice President of Product Management, having recently served in strategic product management and planning leadership roles at Content Analyst Company and Microsoft.
Both executives join Podium Data’s management team following the company’s recent $9.5 million investment round, enabling the company to rapidly scale to meet fast-growing market demand.
Chris Mueller brings more than 20 years of software and technology sales leadership to Podium Data. His experience with growth-stage technology companies in the big data, analytics, cloud native platform, and enterprise data management markets extends back to 2005 as a sales leader at Netezza, Teradata, and MicroStrategy. At Netezza, Mueller built and led the company’s communications sector sales team, growing that business to more than $50 million over three years and contributing significantly to the company’s IPO and ultimate $1.7 billion acquisition by IBM.
“Companies today are aggressively moving to adopt faster, more agile approaches to delivering trusted data to business users to fuel expanded analytics and insights,” said Mueller. “Podium Data has established itself as a leader with a next-generation solution and top-tier customers. This is a tremendous opportunity to rapidly transform how enterprises manage their data and deliver measurable business value.”
John Felahi joins Podium Data with more than 25 years of enterprise software experience including product management, strategy, and planning. Prior to joining Podium Data, Felahi was Chief Strategy Officer at Content Analyst Company, a maker of machine learning software that helps companies discover, extract, and use vast stores of unstructured content. He also served as Vice President of Product Management at FAST Search & Transfer, an industry leader in enterprise search, where he helped build the business to $180 million in five years and position the company for acquisition by Microsoft in 2008.
“Podium Data is on a mission to help organizations fundamentally simplify the architecture and technology stack needed to address enterprise data provisioning needs,” said Felahi. “I am delighted to bring my experience to help actualize our vision for a next-generation enterprise data management ecosystem, building on our proven, enterprise-grade data lake management platform.”
“Chris and John have deep experience as entrepreneurs bringing transformational new products to market that deliver high-impact solutions for customers,” said Paul Barth, CEO of Podium Data. “Both are well-known in the analytic and enterprise data management space, and join Podium at a perfect time with exactly the right skills and industry relationships to drive exponential growth. We are thrilled to have them both as a part of the Podium leadership team.”
