The upcoming “Pokémon GO” Fest is going to reward attendees with Celebi, according to a set of codes recently saw by a data miner.

Redditor u/Chrales recently posted a list of codes on the widely followed “Pokémon GO” subreddit r/The Silph Road (via Game Rant). The codes shared were specifically for an upcoming Research quest that will go live during the “Pokémon GO” Fest scheduled for July 14 to 15 at the Lincoln Park in Chicago, Illinois.

The “Pokémon GO” Fest program, just like last year, will be filled with various activities that require cooperation from all attendees and even from trainers in other parts of the world. This year, developers will also launch a cooperative quest called “Research.”

Based on the event’s official website, Trainers can work with fellow players to complete Research quests and collect stamps that will earn them rewards. While the website does not say much about the upcoming Research quests, the codes posted on Reddit show a string of in-game messages that suggests Celebi is one of the rewards to be released at the "Pokémon GO" Fest.

It appears that the “Pokémon GO” Fest Research quest will feature a plot where the Lincoln Park is showing “all sorts of unusual geological phenomena,” and it is up to the Trainers to get to the bottom of it.

These fictional geological happenings will cause Pokémon in the Lincoln Park to become “more aggressive and territorial.” And trainers’ Research objective is to “catch 20 Fire-, Steel-, Water-, Grass-, Rock-, or Ice-type Pokémon.”

Later in the quest, the dialogues indicate that an Unown Pokémon will appear, which will lead to the task of catching the time-traveling character Celebi as one of the dialogues reads, “Amazing! Never thought I would see Celebi here.”

The quest dialogues also suggest that Celebi can be added to the Pokédex upon completing the quest after it has “safely returned from the past” and will be staying with the trainer who completed the Research.
