‘Power’ season 6 episode 9 air date, spoilers: Tommy and Ghost’s ready to kill Jason in ‘Scorched Earth’

“Power” season 6 episode 9 is the penultimate chapter before the midseason break. And as the finale is fast-approaching, the events in the series are getting more complicated with all the betrayals and killings happening.

“Power” season 6 has been revealed to be the final chapter, but it will offer more episodes as the story is developing really great. The episodes are going to be split up into two with the first 10 episodes airing this year, and the last five stories will be released in 2020.

Episode 8 recap

Since “Power” season 6 episode 9 will pick up from where the previous story left off, here’s a brief recap of what happened at that time. It can be recalled that Tommy is about to propose to LaKeisha, and he has the ring already.

But upon arrival in the home that he and LaKeisha bought so they can start a new life together, he was crushed to see his ladylove lying lifeless in the veranda. The culprit already left it was shockingly Tasha.

Tasha arrived in the home and found out that LaKeisha, her former best pal, is working with the police, and she attempted to dissuade her from cooperating with the authorities, but apparently they disagreed, and there was a gun. They tussled to get a hold of the weapon, and in the end, Tasha shot her former friend in the head.

As noted on UK’s Express, the reason why Tasha ended Lakeisha’s life was because of Tariq. She wants to protect her son, and in the first place, she went to her pal’s home to caution LaKeisha about mentioning Tariq when it’s a discussion involving law enforcement.

Spoilers - What will happen in the new episode?

In the preview for “Power” season 6, episode 9, Tommy was shown looking devastated over his love’s death. He seems to be asking Ghost for help as they were speaking on the phone when Ghost said that “it’s all going to be over soon.”

In another scene, Tommy found out through detective Blanca Rodriguez that Lakeisha agreed to testify against him, and he couldn’t believe what he just heard and in denial. He said that she was his girl until the end, so there’s no way she would betray him. But the sad thing is - this is the truth.

The synopsis for “Power” season 6 episode 9 as per Starz reads: “As Ghost and Tommy move forward with their plan to kill Jason, Tommy enacts a plan of his own; Dre uses a ruse to force Tommy's organization to rebel against him; Tommy battles the kin of one of his past victims.”

“Power” season 6 episode 9 has been delayed for two weeks. Now, it was confirmed to return on air this Oct. 27 in the U.S., and it will be on Netflix for the viewers in the U.K. on Oct. 28.
