“Power” season 6 is coming in less than two weeks, and as Starz network try to tease the fans for the exciting premiere, it posted the full trailer for the new installment. The clip was a bit of hurried as everyone seems to be running, as it turned out Ghost (Omari Hardwick) is on the run as he struggles to save his own life from the hands of betrayers.
“Power” season 6 has been titled the “Final Betrayal” and Ghost is in danger. One of the things that were already revealed by the series’s showrunner Courteney Kemp is that Angela Valdes (Lela Loren) will be back because she’s alive after all, despite being shot by Tommy (Joseph Sikora) at the end of season 5.
Ghost’s predicament
While Angela survived, she is likely to be back in trouble in “Power” season 6 because people are turning against each other. In fact, Ghost will be hunted down by his own friends as they want him dead. They will team-up to bring him down as his rivals commissioned them to get rid of him.
Based on the trailer, Tommy will declare war against Ghost and their friends will choose sides. In a surprising twist, Keisha (La La Anthony) appeared to have left Ghost’s side to join the bad guys. Now Ghost is confused and does not know anymore who his real allies are.
Who will kill Ghost St. Patrick?
While this is not revealed yet, it seems that the “Power” season 6 teaser is suggesting that Tommy Egan will turn out to be his most vicious enemy. If he indeed dies in the finale, it will be his old pal turned enemy who is likely to send him to his grave. If this will happen, the title for this season really makes sense.
Plot summary for the final season and release date
As per Starz’ press release, "Power" season 6 will “It picks up with James ‘Ghost St. Patrick seeking vengeance. His former drug partner and brother in arms must pay for the ultimate betrayal.”
Furthermore, “Rocked to his core by the perfidiousness and cruelties of those he once called his family, Ghost devotes himself to one notion: Success is the best revenge, with all intentions of getting both.” Finally, “Power” season 6 will premiere on Aug. 25 on Starz with an episode titled “Murderer.”
