‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7B is set to return on Freeform next year. It was revealed that Spencer survived her gunshot wound and that Uber A’s identity will finally be exposed. It was speculated that the killer may be close to the Liars all along.
It seems that the final season of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ is about to reveal the series’ biggest secrets including the real identity of the villainous Uber A. In the latest trailer for season 7’s part two, the girls receive a large black gift with the cryptic message “It’s Playtime” signed by A.D.
It was speculated that Uber A may one of the Liars all along. According to News Everyday, the most popular fan theories point to Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale) as the main perpetrator but it seems that Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario) could also be guilty.
The mid-season finale revealed that Spencer is Mary Drake's (Andrea Parker) daughter, which also means she is Charlotte’s (Vanessa Ray) biological sister. It was also revealed that Spencer survived after being shot by Jenna and left to die in Mary Drake’s arms, according to the Hollywood Life.
Despite coming out alive after the whole ordeal, Spencer doesn’t seem too happy about how things are turning out. In the trailer, she is seen screaming, "You have ruined everything that I’ve ever had!" Perhaps the person on the other end of her hatred is Mary Drake.
Creator Marlene King said during a previous interview, "That was a huge revelation not just for Spencer, but for the Pretty Little Liars and the show and the storyline… It's a driving engine of Spencer's emotional story as we come back in April."
It was also speculated that Spencer likely has a twin and is the one hiding under Uber A’s disguise. It is also possible that Spencer's twin has been switching places with the real Spencer throughout the series. This remains to be confirmed, however.
‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7B is scheduled to return on Freeform on April 2017. It was confirmed that this would be the mystery drama television series’ final season since it premiered on June 2010 on ABC Family.
