‘Quantico’ season 2’s episode 13, titled “EPICSHELTER,” is set to follow Alex as she returns to the crisis zone and expose a real traitor within the CIA. Meanwhile, a death back at the farm will prompt an FBI investigation.
The synopsis for episode 13 posted on TV Guide reads, “The recruits learn what to do if they're ever exposed; and a death leads to an FBI investigation at the Farm. In the future, Alex (Priyanka Chopra) returns to the crisis zone and exposes the traitor.”
The previous episode, titled “Fallenoracle," followed the recruits back at the farm as they managed to infiltrate the NSA in order to clear their records. Alex and Owen (Blair Underwood) also attempted to catch Lydia (Tracy Ifeachor) after realizing that there was a traitor lurking behind their ranks. In their mission, they stumbled on a lair covered in photographs.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Josh Safran dissected the events of “Fallenoracle” as the series moves towards a single timeline. When asked to address Owen’s mission of finding Dayana Mampasi (Pearl Thusi) or whether Lydia was in fact working with Dayana, Safran replied, “I can’t answer that. It’s a very good question and that exact question is the plot of episode 13. So that’s not just something we forgot about and threw up in the air, it lands completely. By the way, the next episode is primarily in the future.”
When asked about the lair covered in photographs that Alex and Owen found, Safran said, “Well, the answer to that is in the premiere of season 2, but it’ll also be explained in the next episode. You’ll know in the next episode. You’re not meant to fully make the connection in this episode but in the next episode when the body is identified you’ll make the connection.”
He added, “In [episode] 13, everything really does wrap up so what you will be looking out for are probably the last two words of the episode. You’ll see. The last two words are very important.”
According to Cartermatt, the upcoming episode is set to reveal a shocking twist, considering that the television series already had numerous ones during its run on ABC. It seems that Alex will be returning to the crisis zone and in the process, will manage to expose a real traitor within the CIA.
‘Quantico’ season 2’s episode 13, titled “EPICSHELTER,” is scheduled to air on February 20, 2017 on ABC. It was directed by Constantine “Gus” Makris and written by Beth Schacter and Marisha Mukerjee.
