“The future of business is not about creating technology - that’s a misconception,” said Nick van Weerdenburg, CEO and Founder, Rangle. “The future of business is about finding how technology can deliver exponential value to customers before a competitor or new startup does. Howie has a track record for unshackling businesses from staid thinking, while elevating the creative process and its role in developing great products.”
Howatson brings more than 25 years of deep immersion in design, strategy, client services, team building, business development, and business leadership. He will be growing the Creative team at Rangle to build a broad platform of skills and services for clients to easily harness. The company is actively hiring for several design-focused roles, such as Product Designers, Art Directors, UX Researchers, and UX Designers.
“Technology may be the great enabler, but only if the strategy behind it can create meaningful engagement through great customer experiences, while generating positive business results,” said Howatson. “Rangle has built its reputation as the delivery organization of choice for clients' most important digital initiatives. Now is the perfect time to expand upon the trust we have with our clients, and deliver new services focused on market-shifting strategy and design-led innovation.”
Howatson draws on experience in app development, product design, web, animation, gaming, print, and broadcast to deliver creatively integrated programs that offer amazing customer experiences. At SapientRazorfish, he was responsible for transforming the company’s Creative Domain in Toronto - an integrated practice group used by some of the world’s largest brands like Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Cadillac Fairview, Entertainment One, Allied REIT, Bank of Montreal, and First Niagara Bank.
