Re-Evaluating NFV: InterDigital’s Alan Carlton Featured on Panel Discussion at MWC 2017

BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 27, 2017 -- MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS 2017 -- Once touted as a potentially revolutionary technology that would unlock new possibilities and network architectures, Network Function Virtualization (NFV) has instead gone down a relatively mundane road of cost savings. But a panel shaped by Alan Carlton of InterDigital (NASDAQ:IDCC) at Mobile World Congress 2017 will seek to take a new look at NFV and examine ways that some of its original potential could be unlocked.

‘NFV: A Re-Examination’ will examine whether NFV is developing in the right ways to deliver what the telecom industry needs, and how some technical decisions will affect the success of the wider business.  Grant Lenahan, Partner and Principal Analyst, Appledore Research Group, will moderate the dynamic panel session among the following industry leaders:
