Indian cloud kitchen restaurant operator, Rebel Foods, has expanded its partnership with Wnedy’s to an exclusive master franchise rights to operate the US-based fast-food chain’s restaurants in India.
In 2020, Revel Foods acquired the rights to run Wendy’s cloud kitchens in Nidia, with a commitment to open about 250 delivery-only locations by 2030.
According to Rebel Foods, the new deal will allow it to completely manage and operate Wendy’s in India and enable it to be the first Indian food tech company to expand a major global QSR through both cloud kitchens and traditional restaurants.
The deal also marks the end of Wendy’s franchise partnership with Sierra Nevada Restaurants, which held the rights to expand the chain’s physical presence in India.
