Online community Reddit is inviting redditors to test the beta version of its Android app. Interested users need to sign up before 18th December.
“As many of you know, the team here has been working hard to bring our official native Reddit app to Android for a while now. Now that we’re getting close to having something to share, we’d love to invite some redditors to participate in the beta to provide us with feedback and help identify those nasty bugs so we can squash them before wide release”, said the product manager for native mobile at Reddit in an online post.
The post added that the launch date for the beta has not been decided yet, but “expect it sometime in the next month or two”.
Also, there is no guarantee that all the users who sign up for beta testing will be selected to participate as the first round requires only a few thousand users. Once the beta testing begins, a private subreddit will be opened with the selected beta testers to discuss the issues.
Last year, Reddit launched an official reddit mobile app on iOS and Android – Reddit AMA, which functions as a reader for the website’s Ask Me Anything interviews.
