A movement supporting Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid presented 52 vehicles in Ondo and Gombe to expand local voter outreach, Premium Times, Punch and Vanguard reported.
The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement presented 26 vehicles at an event in Akure, Ondo, and another 26 in Gombe on Oct. 20. Government Ekpemupolo, known as Tompolo, is the movement’s grand patron, while Sunday Asuku is its national coordinator. Kestin Pondi, managing director of Tantita Security Services Limited, represented Ekpemupolo at the events.
The events inaugurated local government coordinators in both states and ward coordinators in Ondo. Pondi said the Gombe event also inaugurated the movement’s chapter there. He said the vehicles would help coordinators travel across the two states to canvass voters.
Ondo Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa welcomed the vehicles as a way to help coordinators travel for campaign work. Gombe Gov. Inuwa Yahaya thanked the movement for the vehicles and other campaign materials.
