‘Rick and Morty’ season 4 air date, spoilers: Adult Swim unveiled amusing episode titles and synopsis

“Rick and Morty” season 4 is on its way, and fans will be seeing it back on Adult Swim in two weeks. Since the series is finally coming very soon, the studio wants to tease fans a bit more, so the first five titles of the new episodes have been released this week.

Season 4 episode titles revealed

The episode titles for the upcoming “Rick and Morty” season 4 were announced via social media. In a short video that was uploaded by the Adult Swim, it listed some unusual titles and they used wordplay on popular TV shows and movie titles which include "Edge of Tomorty: Rick Die Repeat," "The Old Man and the Seat," "One Crew Over the Crewcoo's Morty," "Claw and Hoarder: Special Ricktim's Morty" and "Rattlestar Ricklactica."

As mentioned on IGN, the original titles from where the first five episodes were based on are Tom Cruise’s “Edge of Tomorrow,” a novel by Ernest Hemingway titles “The Old Man and the Sea,” Jack Nickolson’s “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” NBC’s “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and 2004’s TV series “Battlestar Galactica.”

Episode synopsis

Aside from the titles, Adult Swim also posted the official synopsis for the unveiled “Rick and Morty” season 4 titles. For the first episode, the summary reads: “Morty goes nuts this time dawg. Rick does stuff,” For "The Old Man And The Seat," “We all have one thing in common broh,” for the third, “Lots of twists and turns this time Broh. Wear your helmets,” for the fourth story, “Morty gets a dragon in this one broh. It’s a wild ride broh,” and finally, for the fifth episode it reads: “Lots of things in space broh. Snakes and sharp stuff.”

Season 5 in the works

It was good news when show creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland stated that there will be no more lengthy hiatus before the next season airs. In fact, while “Rick and Morty” season 4 is being finished, they are already working on the fifth.

"There were so many things that had to be settled before we even started Season 4, and it's really safe to say - as Justin says - we're literally writing Season 5 while finishing Season 4 just to force ourselves to commit to a certain schedule," Harmon told Entertainment Weekly.

Airdate

“Rick and Morty” season 4 will be available starting Nov. 10 at 11:30 p.m. There will be 10 episodes in all for this installment, but they will be divided into two parts. The first five chapters will air until early 2020, and the rest will be released after the midseason break.
