‘Rick and Morty’ season 4 release date, spoilers: Adult Swim releases chaotic new trailer; Dragon experiment and hover-riding Rick revealed

Rick and Morty

“Rick and Morty” season 4 has long been delayed since the previous season concluded in October 2017. It’s a two-year hiatus, so the anticipation for its return is really high.

On Oct. 6, Adult Swim released its second trailer, and fans were thrilled. As usual, the scenes are hilarious as the Smith family deals with Rick Sanchez’s insane inventions and discoveries. The family often suffers and forced to get on with the adventures brought about by Morty’s grandfather’s endless experiments that oftentimes go terribly wrong.

Spoilers - What to expect?

In fact, the family already met aliens, robots, mutations, and many more, but still, the experiments continue. For “Rick and Morty” season 4, the viewers will see more of this craziness, and based on the preview, Rick and Morty will also try their hands on a dragon experiment, but it is not clear as to what it actually is. Rick is also seen in a hoverchair while he and Morty are in another world.

Games Radar also mentioned “Rick and Morty” season 4 will show the return of Mr. Poopy Butthole and the Meeseeks. The latter even proved that he still has his chops when showcased his martial arts skills. He truly changed a lot since being introduced in the series in 2015 via the “Total Rickall” episode.

End of long waiting time for the next seasons

In any case, “Rick and Morty” season 4 will be divided into two parts, and the first five episodes will be released this year while the rest are set to air in starting in early 2020. After this, the next season, which is the fifth, will soon follow. As promised by the show’s co-creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, there will be no more lengthy waiting times between the seasons.

"I think it's safe to say without fear of being wrong that the gap between Seasons 3 and 4 will be the longest and last time that it's ever so long that it's ridiculous,” Harmon told Entertainment Weekly. “I don't know how fast we can do it, but I know it will never be this long again.”

Release date

Meanwhile, Adult Swim confirmed that “Rick and Morty” season 4 is set to debut on Nov. 10 at 11:30 p.m. Check out the short trailer below.
