Sweden’s central bank, Sveriges Riksbank, repurchased SEK 25 billion in certificates due Oct. 28, setting a fixed 1.85% rate in its third such purchase since Oct. 21, the bank said Monday.
The 1.85% rate stood 10 basis points higher than the central bank’s steering rate. Payment is due Tuesday, Oct. 27; the securities come due the following day.
The operation followed purchases of SEK 10 billion on Oct. 23 and SEK 5 billion on Oct. 21, both tied to the same maturity. The Riksbank’s Oct. 23 buyback also used a 1.85% fixed rate.
