It is safe to say that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart both enjoyed major career boosts when the first “Twilight” movie, based on Stephenie Meyer’s novel series of the same title, premiered worldwide. And a couple of months from now, it is going to be 10 years since the said movie was released, and fans could be wondering where their favorite vampire couple is now.
Both Pattinson and Stewart have remained active in the movie industry even after the last “Twilight” movie was released. But moreover, the actors took the risk of taking on roles that are completely different from how Edward Cullen and Bella Swan were remembered by fans.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have successfully portrayed gritty movie roles over the years. Pattinson’s Connie in “Good Time” spent most of his time running away from the police after a string of felonies while also wanting to be with his brother. His role Monte in the upcoming “High Life,” which premiered at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday, is also very much involved in crimes but the entire movie has a sci-fi theme.
Meanwhile, Stewart’s latest movie “Lizzie” premieres in the United States on Sept. 14. She plays the role of a live-in housemaid named Bridget. The titular character, played by Chloë Sevigny, is based on the real-life crime story of Lizzie Borden, who was accused — and later acquitted — of brutally murdering her father and stepmother in the 1890s. Stewart also recently confirmed that she is currently writing a movie that is “open about the fact that [women are] entirely sexual beings.”
Though Stewart and Pattinson had a not-so-nice ending to their relationship in 2012, the “High Life” actor confirmed with The Hollywood Reporter in 2014 that he maintained communication with his ex-girlfriend. Pattinson and Stewart were also briefly spotted chatting at a party hosted by a common friend earlier this year.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight last June, Robert Pattinson said that ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart is on the list of “real powerhouse” women who he had the opportunity to work with. More recently, Pattinson also joked about being ever-ready to play as a 17-year-old vampire again at the mention of “Twilight’s” 10th anniversary this year.
