With Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat at stake, Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers is seeking Democratic voters before another debate with Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, CBS News reported.
El-Sayed has also pursued conservative voters in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He said residents there were concerned about gasoline and grocery costs.
Republican state Rep. Karl Bohnak, who supports Rogers, previously questioned how Medicare for All would be financed. He said he knew little about El-Sayed’s platform.
Early voting was another subject of the CBS News video, addressed by Michael George of CBS News. For its discussion of Rogers’ campaign, the network featured Lauren Gibbons, a senior political reporter at Bridge Michigan.
Michigan is a seat Democrats must defend as they seek four net Senate gains. Voters will decide the race Nov. 3.
