Mumbai Indians’ captain Rohit Sharma has been wearing his customized Adidas shoes created to spread awareness about ending plastic waste in the oceans.
The spikes have the slogan "End Plastic Waste" on them.
Sharma wore them against the Chennai Super Kings and the Lucknow Super Giants in their most recent T20 matches.
Sharma will wear these shoes for the rest of the IPL season to promote his goal of making the oceans a safer and cleaner place.
In addition, for every run Sharma scores, Adidas India will collect ten throwaway bottles from Mumbai's beaches and recycle them into yarn for footwear and clothes.
