SAP Taulia has appointed Kirsten Loegering chief product officer and promoted Andrew Schafer to chief technology officer as it expands its AI and automation work in working-capital management.

Loegering assumed Taulia’s product leadership role on Sept. 28 and will guide its offerings. Schafer’s promotion gives him oversight of the technology base supporting those products and services. His brief includes making Taulia’s analytical and transaction functions work in the systems customers already use by expanding the infrastructure behind them. The roles put product planning and technology infrastructure under separate executives.

SAP Taulia Chief Executive Cedric Bru said the appointments fit SAP’s Autonomous Finance vision. That vision brings enterprise data and business processes together, positioning working capital as a strategic resource companies can use in real time. Bru also credited Schafer with helping reshape Taulia’s technology foundation over the previous year.

Loegering said businesses are placing greater emphasis on working-capital management. She pointed to finance, supply chains and AI-driven innovation coming together in Taulia’s work, calling her appointment a pivotal moment for the business. She said she aims to help the team innovate and improve the products and services customers receive. Loegering has experience building and expanding enterprise product teams.

Schafer has described AI as broadening the range of tasks working-capital management can handle. His technology agenda is to extend Taulia’s technical backbone so its services can operate within the systems customers rely on. He said he looked forward to working with Loegering and the wider leadership team to “build the next generation” of SAP Taulia’s solutions.

Taulia is developing AI and automation for working-capital management. Loegering will guide its offerings, while Schafer will oversee the infrastructure work needed to extend Taulia’s capabilities into customer systems.
