The complaint alleges that throughout the class period Defendants issued materially false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) HMS lacked effective internal control over financial reporting; and (2) as a result, HMS’s financial statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times.
On March 2, 2017, the Company announced it would delay filing of its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2016. The Company stated it needed additional time in order to "complete documentation related to the Company's previously disclosed review of its CMS reserves and related internal controls over financial reporting.
