India-based materials maker SRF Limited’s consolidated net profit rose 31.2% year over year to ₹509.12 crore for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026, while total segment earnings fell 26.9% from the June quarter.

Revenue from operations reached ₹4,904.20 crore, up 34.7% from a year earlier but 2.6% below Q1 FY27. The comparable totals were ₹3,640.19 crore and ₹5,033.26 crore, respectively. Total segment results, which SRF’s release calls Operational EBIT and measure profit before interest and tax across its businesses, reached ₹815.99 crore. The figure rose 25.5% year over year but fell from ₹1,116.12 crore in the previous quarter. SRF’s filing identifies four reporting segments: Chemicals, Performance Films & Foil, Technical Textiles and Other Businesses.

The Chemicals segment posted results of ₹527.77 crore, up 9.6% year over year but down 17.3% sequentially. Revenue gained 24.8% to ₹2,079.46 crore. SRF said its Specialty Chemicals Business faced worldwide pricing shifts, excess production capacity in China and geopolitical developments. In Fluorochemicals, the company described refrigerant volumes as strong and pricing conditions as favorable.

Performance Films & Foil generated ₹2,122.39 crore in revenue, 50.7% more than a year earlier, while segment results were ₹206.23 crore, down 41% from Q1. SRF said heavier customer purchases amid first-quarter volatility left inventories that weighed on demand in the following quarter.

NDTV Profit reported that the quarter missed analyst expectations, with chemicals chiefly responsible for the shortfall. The outlet said UBS maintained a Sell rating with a ₹2,300 target, Morgan Stanley rated SRF Underweight, and Jefferies kept Hold with a ₹2,540 target.

SRF Chairman and Managing Director Ashish Bharat Ram said the company’s businesses performed strongly despite global uncertainty. He said capital spending aimed at “sunrise sectors” remained “extremely robust,” positioning SRF for the future.

EconoTimes previously covered SRF’s September-quarter earnings and battery foil facility approval.
