Sam Heughan has a new film, “The Spy Who Dumped Me,” and while promoting his movie, he appeared on many shows for interviews. The film is an action-comedy, so the actor’s guesting on programs are usually injected with fun activities.
For his fans who watch him in the historical, time-traveling drama "Outlander," it may be hard to think that he can be funny too. And this is why starring in “The Spy Who Dumped Me” came as a surprise for them. However, people who are close to him like co-star Caitriona Balfe already knows that he is a natural comic and this is evident on social media.
Well that’s my weekend planned. Can’t wait to see this!!!!! Everyone run out and see this movie!!! ????????♀️????????♀️????????♀️. So damn proud of @SamHeughan .... I take back everything I’ve ever said about how funny you are!!! #ahem ???????? @SpyWhoDumpedMe https://t.co/AHMjrgCVsA

Another time that Caitriona Balfe proved that Sam Heughan is a funny man was when she attempted to sell him in exchange for “Hamilton” Broadway tickets. When Lin-Manuel Miranda tweeted about his wife Vanessa Nadal trying to recreate a scene from “Outlander,” both drama leads reacted with their witty remarks.
On Aug. 8, Miranda posted a photo of his wife knocking on a stone hedge. He then added an amusing caption that reads, “Every time we pass a damn henge my wife tries to Outlander her way to Jamie-land, give it up lady.”
It caught Sam Heughan’s attention and commented, “Lady has remarkable taste.” The Broadway actor and writer then seemed to threaten him by replying in jest, “*wakes up, gets Hamilton dueling pistol out of storage.*”

Realizing the “fray” going on, Caitriona Balfe immediately grabbed the chance to get free “Hamilton” tickets and used her co-star as a bargaining chip. “I’ll sell him to her for some Hamilton tickets!!!! #everyonehasaprice #justfeedandwaterhimdaily @Lin_Manuel @SamHeughan,” she tweeted.
Sam Heughan was just as funny during his interview with MTV News. The "Outlander" lead star was interviewed by Josh Horowitz and there was a segment where the host asked Sam to describe the photos that he posted on his Instagram.
In one picture, he appears to be holding the button of his coat and Josh asked what he may be thinking at that time, Sam hilariously replied, “Why did I eat that second burger? I can’t do up my jacket!”
Meanwhile, Sam Heughan confirmed that they just wrapped up filming for “Outlander” season 4. Via CBS Local News, he also stated that the popular drama is airing in November.
