Satsuma Technology Dumps All Bitcoin: UK Corporate Treasury Experiment Collapses After Shareholder Vote

A UK-listed Bitcoin treasury business, Satsuma Technology is selling its whole assets of some 668 BTC in response to a shareholder vote approved by over 90% majority. The company will also drop off the exchange, therefore ending one of the more significant business Bitcoin treasury trials in less than a year.

The judgment follows a severe worsening in the trade. Though Satsuma had garnered around $218 million, its share price fell, therefore leaving the company's market worth below that of its Bitcoin assets. Pantera, among other investors, had allegedly pushed management to sell the leftover Bitcoin and distribute money back to stockholders.

This change calls attention to how brittle the corporate Bitcoin treasury model is for the larger crypto market when equity premiums vanish and Bitcoin prices drop. Until market conditions improve and investor confidence comes back, it's possible to lower interest in related approaches—especially outside the United States.
