Scale AI announced a UAE office at Dubai International Financial Centre during Dubai AI Festival on Monday, The National reported, as the company explores potential AI applications for government and business customers in the United Arab Emirates with Presight.
The newspaper said the planned site would be in DIFC’s Dubai AI Campus and that the announcement came at a signing ceremony. DIFC scheduled the festival for Oct. 26-27 at Dubai World Trade Centre, and Scale AI’s events calendar listed its participation on Oct. 26. DIFC also named Scale AI among the festival participants.
Trevor Thompson, Scale AI’s global managing director, called the DIFC location “a long-term commitment,” The National reported. DIFC listed Thompson among the festival’s speakers.
Scale AI and Presight signed a memorandum of understanding on Oct. 8 to explore AI applications for UAE government and enterprise customers. Their agenda includes assessing AI systems, setting oversight practices, preparing for emergency response and running scenario exercises. The companies also named potential uses in water, power, health care and transportation. The memorandum describes exploratory work and does not name a specific customer commitment or contract value.
Scale AI says it provides training data and annotations, evaluates AI models and develops AI systems for companies and governments. DIFC describes its Dubai AI Campus as offering physical and digital infrastructure, research and development facilities, accelerator programs and collaborative workspaces.
Bloomberg Law reported in May 2025 that a Scale AI spokesperson had confirmed plans for a UAE office, without giving a timeline. DIFC’s schedule lists the festival’s second day for Oct. 27.
