‘Scandal’ season 6’s episode 9, titled “Dead In the Water,” will follow Olivia and the rest of the team as they race against time to find Huck and save him from an imminent death.
The short synopsis for “Dead In the Water” posted on TV Guide reads, “It's a race against time when OPA's investigation into the conspiracy puts one of their own in grave danger.”
According to Cartermatt, the upcoming episode will feature Olivia (Kerry Washington) and OPA as they investigate a conspiracy that is threatening one of their own people’s life. It seems that it will be a race against the clock to save Huck (Guillermo Diaz) from death. Huck was shot in episode 8, titled
"A Stomach for Blood," and it looks like he will be fighting for his life until his allies could get to him.
It is speculated that although there has been no news of Huck’s fate so far, he remains alive somehow. Olivia and OPA will have to go through great lengths to look for him. However, it seems that Meg is already willing and ready to dump Huck’s body should the team be too late.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Diaz hinted that there is still hope left for his character Huck. He said, “He’s a former trained killer spy who lived in a hole for three months. He’s been through a whole hell of a lot, so I’m hoping that he will have that inner strength to make it through this, but we’ll have to wait and see.”
‘Scandal’ season 6’s episode 9, titled “Dead In the Water,” is scheduled to air on ABC on April 6, 2017. It was directed by Nicole Rubio and written by Michelle Lirtzman. It will be followed by episode 10, titled
"The Decision," directed by Sharat Raju and scheduled to be released on April 13.
