‘Scream Queens’ Season 2, Episode 8 Spoilers: "Rapunzel, Rapunzel" – Dean Munsch’s Old Flame Returns; Zayday Attempts to Discover Green Meanie’s Origins

Jamie Lee Curtis plays Dean Munsch on Fox's 'Scream Queens'

‘Scream Queens’ season 2’s episode 8, entitled "Rapunzel, Rapunzel," will feature the return of Dean Munsch’s old flame getting Dr. Brock jealous. Meanwhile, Zayday will attempt to discover the Green Meanie’s origins.

The synopsis for “Rapunzel, Rapunzel” posted on Cartermatt reads, “A man from Dean Munsch’s (Jamie Lee Curtis) past checks in to the C.U.R.E. institute with plans to win her back, causing a jealous Brock (John Stamos) to further question his relationship with Chanel Emma Roberts).

Meanwhile, Zayday (Keke Palmer) and Chamberlain (James Earl) devise a plan to discover the origins of The Green Meanie killer with shocking results.”

The promo opens with Chanel threatening Dean Munsch, “Dr. Brock Holt is my man.” Dean Munsch fires back sarcastically, “Enjoy it while it lasts.” In the next scene, Hester (Lea Michele) whispers seductively into Brock’s ears, “You, Dr. Holt, are a killer.” This unhinges the physician a great deal.

In another scene, Zayday caught the Green Meanie in what is presumably a trap. By the end of the promo, Dean Munsch is seen spending time with an old flame Wes Gardner (Oliver Hudson). She seems to be more than happy to see him again.

Wes was one of the main characters in season 1. According to International Business Times, he was the professor of Introduction to Film Analysis at Wallace University. He is Grace Gardner’s (Skyler Samuels) father and boyfriend to Dean Cathy Munsch. It was then revealed during the episode entitled “Thanksgiving” that he is also the father of killer siblings Hester and Boone (Nick Jonas).

Meanwhile, Zayday and Chamberlain will attempt to discover the real origins of the latest antagonist, the Green Meanie.

Curtis is set to direct the incoming episode. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Roberts talked about Curtis’ directorial style saying, “She trusts us way more than everyone else, and she doesn’t tell us the same thing a hundred times — she tells us once… She’s very encouraging. She’s like, ‘Very funny, very funny.’ She knows to pat our egos on the back.”

‘Scream Queens’ season 2’s episode 8, entitled "Rapunzel, Rapunzel," is scheduled to air on Fox on December 6, 2016. It was directed by Jamie Lee Curtis. It will be followed by episode 9, entitled "Lovin the D," scheduled for December 13.
