An Oct. 20 market check showed four storage and memory shares in positive territory, led by a 1.45% rise in Seagate Technology, after the same stocks gained in an afternoon snapshot the previous day.

Micron Technology showed a 0.38% gain, compared with 0.53% for Sandisk and 1.09% for Western Digital. Those percentages capture trading during the session; they do not establish where the shares closed.

The four stocks also appeared in an Oct. 19 afternoon comparison that included SK hynix. Sandisk led that group with a 7.23% gain, while Seagate was up 4.67%. Western Digital showed a 5.96% rise, Micron gained 4.18% and SK hynix was up 5.07%.

At the time of the earlier check, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index had gained 2.8%. It finished Oct. 19 up 1.61%, ending an eight-session decline. The stock figures from both days are intraday readings taken at different points in trading.

Sandisk’s fiscal first-quarter earnings call is set for Oct. 29.
